  1. NRAAS SIMS 3 MOD
  2. NRAAS SIMS 3 MODS

Here's a list of add-ons beyond the base mod: Module I haven't used anything beyond the base mode since that one fulfilled my individual needs.

NRAAS SIMS 3 MOD

I never tweak anything specific in the base mod since I'm fine with the default settings. This specific mod takes some learning because there are two types of menus (advanced and basic), which can either affect individual Sims, entire households, or the entire town. That one is helpful by giving the ability to play puppet-master with all sorts of options, such as spawning opportunities by selection, changing outfits of townies, "Force Kill" any specific Sim out of sadistic pleasure or necessity, modify skill levels, resetting problem objects/Sims, moodlets, instant baby, age transitions, force invites, sort inventories, etc. I'd also recommend MasterController, which I hyperlinked above. For instance, it also gives the ability to allow teen pregnancies, force pressure of immigration (so new people can move in), assign pregnancies to married people only, allow emigration (default is zero), inheritance, 'afterlife planning' (dead townies have their urnstones moved to the mausoleum), and other helpful items. Story Progression has enough advanced settings to satisfy my needs.

NRAAS SIMS 3 MODS

I don't use any other mods beyond Story Progression, MasterController, and Error Trap. For a few minutes, you may see some additional announcements, but don't worry about it because those messages were queued up to appear. Therefore, you can change the options to "Blood and Friends" which will reduce the number of notifications to what's considered tolerable. As you stated, you like focusing on an individual family but - conversely - want a town to live on its own. It can be annoying for people not interested in town life. I'm not going to lie you're going to start seeing a lot of announcements because the stories are at a default setting of "ALL" to appear. It becomes a whole subset soap opera or drama performance, especially if you're familiar with townies and how their traits operate. Sims will start making friends, getting married, having kids, making enemies, etc. As I said before, this is based on traits. In the beginning, you'll immediately see townies leveling up on skills. The town becomes functional and more realistic because relationships are maintained - not just with your active family and the townies but between the townies themselves. Sure, some people may say "big deal, more pop-ups in the corner!" but it's much more than that. I personally love Story Progression because it adds more dimension to the town and inhabitants. You will see snippets about romances budding, arguments, people late for work, birth announcements, cohabiting people fighting, families in debt, relationships that sour and somebody moves out, adoption of pets, etc. However, you'll be able to view all these milestones in the upper-right corner with the stories that appear. You're not going to see this actively, since the mod makes this all transpire in the background. Jobs are acquired by townies because they want it - not because the position needs to be assigned. Babies being born? That's an action due to the Sims' desire to have children - not because the town is programmed to get some. More importantly, the mod assists with action planning for each Sim based on their traits.Įssentially, this mod grants personality to the Sims. Sounds cruel, but this is good since this allows vacant homes to be filled with permanent residents. Well, what does that mean? First off, it gives you the ability to evict all the homeless Sims. So, what does NRaas Story Progression do? The mod replaces the crummy EA version and bases needs on the individual Sim instead of the town as a whole. As a result, homes will go vacant, the consignment shop will become unattended, children will vanish, and townies will disappear (which, by proxy, ruins relationships). It randomly chooses the Sims, not taking into consideration of the requirements of the town. In the EA version, the program maintains demographics on the town - population, marriage, children, species, deaths, etc.

See, there are two differences with these two builds. Physically, NRaas Story Progression replaces the shoddy EA Story Progression.
